I for one am perfectly content to NEVER SEE any 'kittens' or 'baby bats.' The "precedent" of Helena Wayne is a character that comes from time when, ultimately, every woman was supposed to eventually settle down and have those little cherubs, no matter what crimes or crime-fighting she got up to in her 'youthful' days. Personally, I think it's outdated and silly. Why does everyone, with the seeming exception of stephen *tips hat* seem to want them to have kids so much?

There's nothing wrong with kids. Contrary to reports in the press about hideous dismemberings, my writer actually likes kids. But there are some couples for whom kids just aren't as likely to happen as they are for others, and I think that the Bruce and Selina we see in CT are one of them.

.....that being said: I do think Alfred probably has wistful moments in which he wishes the Wayne name would be carried on for a few more generations. But he's too wise, our Alf, to really try bringing it up.


.....I know "watermelon" and "lemon" have been brought up in the other thread. Second reason, if we needed another-- does anyone REALLY think Selina would consent to time off her feet, due to a pregnancy? To any part of those nine months spent unable to leap from rooftops or swing from a catwhip? I really, really doubt it.
