...if it happens to be true! And I have witnesses
to support what I said about you, Selina -- most notably
Bruce, though I could call others, and from what Myklar
has written, Plastic Man would be high on the list...

Hey I agree with Valeria, after I read cat-tails I
decided to see what cannon was doing... cannon was
murdering the Bat, there in full color I found Bruce in a
relationship with Talia, it made me see red (specially
since the only comic shop I know of in Edinburgh is
sooooo far away from my flat), I feelt cheated and used.
Deciding it was just a fluke alternate universe thing I
turn to another comic and find that at the JLA Batman is
suposed to be having a "thing" with
Wonderwoman, YUCK!
Is it just me that gets the impression that the creator of Batman must be spinning in his grave? I mean the man practically spelled the relationship out, all these "writers" (using the term loosely) at DC had to do was build on it. Don't even get me started on BBeyond, where they implied that Barbara (that by the way can walk) was the great love of his life, please are these people on crack?!!!!!!! Sorry had to rant! I would just like to say that I agree with Myklar on the Wonderwoman character (hate the selfcentered cow). There is one thing that I would like to point out, shoes are nothing like cars...you can have countless shoes, shoes to match your handbag, shoes to make other people green with envy, there are shoes to make your legs look better and the shoes you wear for confort. Normal people have at most one car. Shoe shopping is like hunting, it's all about the chase and then telling your friends the deal you got on the Ferragamo sandals you just got. This is my take on shoes, as an Imelda Marcos whant to be, shoes are great and shoe shopping is therapy (cheap therapy) |

Chris... As always, great. Bruce's restless about
Dick and Selina's reasurances about the fact that she
will not leave were my favorite. You know... I'm really
in love with Cat-Tails now... I wonder what all this
people like me, that keep always waiting for more will do
when you get tired of this and throw we all out of the
window!
I think I'm gonna cry a whole week... ;_ ;x |

Okay, I know this is off-topic, but I couldn't let Bucky03's comment about Batman Beyond pass unchecked. AT NO TIME did the series EVER imply that Barbara was the love of his life. They said the two had a relationship and it ended badly. That's all. If anything, they implied the Demonspawn was the love of his life. Though one of his rare smiles came the one time he mentioned Selina's name.... Okay, I'm done. To make this on-topic, I'm loving this whole series. |

Hey there, katfairy. I agree with you that both the
late animated series and batman beyond never flat out
said anything with respect to Barbara or Talia. All they
did was make some ambiguous comments letting Confused
Silly Twits (CSTs, my new official designation for them)
draw whatever farfetched conclusions they
wanted.
Being CSTs, they couldn't resist the opportunity to demonstrate, yet again, just how confused and silly they really are. The same thing goes on in JLA fandoms with Batman and Wonder Woman (I know. I know. Send those cards and letters to Rod Serling c/o the f'ing Twilight Zone, 'cause you have to throw characterization on both of them ENTIRELY into the ashcan to make it work). |

You should see the fanboys and girls over at the DC
boards desperately trying to justify the Batman
Wonderwoman thing - apparently theyre both warriors whom
respect each other and that was the best way of showing
it as they knew they were about to die.
Said Bat geeks must truly know how it feels to have one's world turned upside down and are now trying to justify it to themselves as much as everyone else. |

Um, personally, I think it's 'cause she was the
only female around....and if Bruce was about to die, why
not kiss Wonder Woman? If she kills you for doing it,
it's bound to be quicker and less painful than what the
JLAtlantis was going to do to him!
But then again, that's what I'd do, too... |

I agree, Az, and the really sad thing is, there was a time at DCMB, back when the asinine idea was first flirted with, the collective there had a few smart enough to recognize and criticize that. I remember very clearly one of the savvier commentators (a man!) taking exception to the idea that every man and woman who work together are a potential romantic pairing. Now, Rob tells us, those same boards are frequented by the twits bending over backwards trying to justify it. "Both warriors" is like saying Tom Brokaw and Susan Sarandon would make a nice couple since they're both carbon based life forms. Look, the best attempt ever at making it work was Adrian Tullberg's fanfic: The Unusual Mission, and even he played fast and loose with character: His Bruce is almost entirely batprick & fop, and his Diana is the Wonder Woman equivalent of Uncle Fluffy. |
