Bruce & Clark in the background, manically supergluing 100 gargoyles back together. But I wouldn't do that.

As for Luthor and the spawn, I will simply echo Myklar there: stay tuned.

Allaine, I know you didn't ask, but since you did bring it up anyway: I've been trying to figure out since the writing what dusty cubbyhole in my brain ""My own" could have come out of. I finally found it: Jane Eyre. It was Lady Ingram's way of addressing her daughter Blanche with what we assume was affection. (No, it has nothing to do with Cat-Tales, but it's been BUGGING me.)

That particular exchange ("He doesn't have to say it, a woman can tell." "Estrogen solidarity. Poor Clark.") was alluding to the same bit of Cyclone-convo that Lois & Clark were discussing.

Selina was filling Bruce in on what he missed in the Cyclone, and Bruce would have said exactly what Hitman did in his review: that he didn't believe Clark would have ever called Lois hormonal. To which Selina replied "He doesn't have to say it, a woman can tell."

Bruce's "Estrogen solidarity" was a simple: ah, I see, you're all against him. The yellow Sun of Earth offers no immunity from the bashing of you wilful, irrational (but lovely!) lumpy creatures that insert yourselves into our formerly well-ordered (but dull) lives. Poor Clark.

Again "Stay tuned" for developments about Luthor, LexCorp, Talia, and other areas where the Catverse will soon be catching up with the world of the Gotham Post.

However I can answer a few of your questions: Luthor/LexCorp does not have enough money to "buy out" Wayne Enterprises. It's been established that Bruce is actually slightly richer than Lex (although Lex plays the system better), but even when they were assumed to be on approximately equal footing, Luthor (i.e. LexCorp and/or Talia as head of it) would have to be MUCH richer and command substantially greater resources in order to buy up WE (I assume you are referring to a hostile takeover).

Even at that, that would in no way bankrupt Bruce, it would leave him with enormous amounts of more liquid wealth in place of the company. So there is no real way to cut off Batman from Bruce's money in that way.

Now the good stuff: Wayne Enterprises and LexCorp are both multi-national corporations involved in an astonishing variety of fields. Wayne Enterprises is a little more like General Electric: there are consumer products everyone knows about (like the toasters and NBC), and a huge base in high tech for corporate and government clients. This isn't a SECRET or anything, those divisions just aren't a part of the public's mental snapshot of the company.
LexCorp is more like Westinghouse, with the same kind of breakdown, except where WE's techbase is heavier in information technology, LexCorp is a defense contractor.
