Oh, I've seen those pics before. The story supposedly goes like this:

A lady with a heavy New York accent walks into a Chicago pet salon--or is it a heavy Chicago accent in a New York pet salon? Anyway, she says she wants her cat to get a "line cut", which on a cat is just trimming the long belly fur to a straight line front to rear; I'm assuming either to disguise the cat's hanging paunch or because some cats have personal habits that get their long fur matted in *ahem* inconvenient places.

She wants a line cut, but because of the clash in accents, the trimmer thinks she said she wants a "lion cut", which is a classic cut given to poodles (and other dogs too stupid to know how ridiculous they look that way.)

He asks doubtfully if she's sure about that, but she says yes and sashays off to do some shopping... and comes back to what you see in the pics there.
