Yes, DC is the Gotham Post |
Lead | ||
|
Cat-Tales readers have always known that. But it
seems DC themselves have finally embraced their true
nature...

Yeah that's his SecretSix Retrosexual look.
See this is why we need more writers like Gail. If she's going to make us look at the likes of Tom Blake for 6 months, she makes it worth our while. To quote whatever Cat-Tale it came up in: Meow on a stick--AAAAAAAIIIIIIII |

Isn't parasite a man not a woman? I'm going based
off of the cartoon so my information about the character
could be wrong.

I wasn't even aware that Livewire had made the
transition from S:TAS to the comics.
Can Volcana be far behind? Sincerely, Allaine

I don't know the cartoons so I actually have no
idea what you're talking about. But I would just toss out
there that there's been a reality-bending Crisis, so if
whomever had been established in the comics in one way,
they may well have been, well to use the horror phrase,
"reinvented."
In which case we'll just wish him/her better luck than others have had with that. |

Well I never! The mighty truely have fallen if
Action Comics, the title that introduced everyone's favorite fanboy has been
reduced to a pseudo-tabloid.
I assume that it is actually some kind of marketing gimmick and relates to the continuing storyline in some way. Nonetheless it really does seem a little... down-market. ~*~*~*~ They call me BenRG But... I don't know why... ~*~*~*~ |

So, if DC's the tabloids in Cattails, then what are
the tabloids in DC in Cattails? You know, like the
"Golden Glider/Captain Boomerang
Lovematch" on the front cover of the Enquirer in
IC.

I would say:
DC Bat-Titles = the Gotham Post aka the New York Post, obviously. While the Post does carry non-Gotham stories from time to time, Gotham is their principle focus. It has competition, of course. The Tattler has been mentioned, analagous to the Daily News. Non-Gotham parts of DC, along with with some fanfics might be represented in competing papers with a more national focus, such as the National Enquirer or the Star. The too-stupifyingly-wrong-to-be-quite-real fanfics (where you hope the writer isn't serious and if they are you hope they're in a mental hospital) as well as what DC themselves consider a tabloid like in IC, I would say those are the really lunatic fringe papers like the Globe or the Star Ledger. <-- not really quite sure of the names, but you probably know them. The Post might run a completely unconscionable story about the mayor having a mistress, the Globe will have him answering to a committee of six severed heads who secretly govern the city from a secret cavern in Newark. |
