That was a lot of fun! We get to see Catwoman in
rare form, here!
We get a feeling of wish fulfillment about seeing Catwoman portrayed the way we want to see her portrayed by seeing Selina at her most feline and the Post getting a complete re-vamp. DC has gotten the re-vamp but it’s not as (ahem)extensive as we wanted it to be. I loved the scene with Nutmeg and Whiskers. They were more forgiving than my cats are after much shorter trips. The presents were fun too. (Don't touch that! HA!) The rooftops were certainly exciting! Glad to see that aspect of our favorite couple’s lives going strong. Way to go Chris! |

Wheee! And I am glad Bruce decided not to go the
full William Randoph Hearst for his Rosebud. Although,
the thought of Batman writing a review of Catwoman in an
opretta is pretty funny. "IT WAS MUCH BETTER
THAN CATS I WILL SEE IT AGAINANDAGAIN." We

Wow!
 Those two
really are into each other, aren't they? How long, I
wonder until someone sees Batman and Catwoman flirting across the
skyline?  This was a lovely little starting chapter with a nice, long Selina POV showing how the mind of everyone's favorite pussy cat works. I also loved Whiskers' and Nutmeg's little greeting. Cats really are like that - They will give you the cold shoulder until they realise somethig new is happening. *Sigh* I so hate cliffhangers. So, what did The Post do now? Make up lies about Selina's relationships? Suggest that they were right as there are two Catwomen? Or are they just slandering Bruce now? Whatever the answer, I can't wait to find out! to explain for those coming in late why I'm not around
much at the moment to chat about the chapter and all
things Cat-Tales. I'm in the midst of a huge r/l project
now, which was late starting up. Please bear with me, keep on

 Okay - Let's take this from the top. You have all the BatFamily either in costume or in mufti, a number of Rogues (both active and former) AND you have nearly the entire Gotham social set. All in one room. It was just a matter of time before someone did something stupid. I assume from Bruce's actions that the Post claimed that he is Batman. That would explain that young lady immitating Harley mixing up 'Bruce' and 'Bat' in the opening scene. It is a wonderful bit of double-psychology for him to turn up in a Silver Age-style Batman costume. Eddie clearly appreciates the thinking that went into this, even if the result is very funny. Selina is pregnant?!? Or is it
just the Post again? "Catwoman Pregnant
With Batman's

Right then, to Mr. BenRG. You are obviously not a comic reader (or if you are, you've missed the point), so we're gonna take this from the top. Quote: I'd say it's because he's dating Catwoman. This one messed with my head, which I beleive was
sort of the point. In fact, it took me a while to get
started, as I just kept going through the first four
paragraphs trying to get a grip on reality that seemed to
have a few cracks in it. Even past that I still had
hicups with Ivy-not, Hatter-not, and the rest.
Going past that, I take it Bruce's attempt at reigning in the Post has not been sucessful. I'm looking forward to your filling in the blanks of your one-month skip. What shall we call that? 4 1/2? |
