Well a new saga has begun and I can't wait to see what lies in wait.

Okay, I'm going to review this as I read, so I apologise in advance if the flow gets a bit disconnected. I'll try to edit it post-typing for coherence but...

Okay, first thing's first: Poor Eddie! I'm with you, pal! You either love opera or you hate it. He and I appear to hold the same point of view. Still, you would have to be an idiot not to spend an evening with Selina without the ever-present Bat ready to spread your brains over the far wall like a modern art installation if you touch the wrong spot. And I loved his meditations on a theme crime wave. For Eddie, his battle with Bruce will always be a game of chess. The rewards are probably secondary these days to the contest. For this reason, I've always felt that this gives The Riddler a definate claim to the "Greatest Foe" tag.

A little bit of hard reality there for Dick - Usually the ones who claim the highest motives have the basist goals.

I do think that Barbara is worrying a bit too much. Bruce must have really been shaken by how totally Ivy took him over. The fact that Selina had to save him probably offends his old-world sense of propriety too (blame Alfread and Dr. Thomas for that) - The gal saving the guy? He is off balance and PsychoBat is his way of dealing with this. He probably also has got a bit wary of asking her for 'favours' where the Catitat is involved (remember the Siberian Tiger he suggested as a bodyguard? ). He probably doesn't want to provoke her to more... feline... incidents like the one at the end of the Amuse Bouche.

Tim and Cassie will just have to suck it up - besides, Dick is right about those links and the necessity of a bit of back-work in the log entries. They aren't just vigilanties, after all, but bona-fide investigators too.

Okay, I'll admit that Cassie probably enjoys the head-breaking bit more than the sifting of clues but that is just her.

I can't wait to see what happens when The Riddler, Whole-Face Dent and their dates turn up at the Iceberg. Besides Ozzie passing out because of the size of the credit lines the girls buy that is...

As for Selina, she is going on patrol! HA! Not only has she infected Bruce with her Cat-like viewpoint, but she is picking up aspects of the Mission. Beware, Selina! You may soon be have the regular #2 seat in the Batmobile

Yes, this story has definite potential. I can't wait to see where things go.

Okay, let's get this show on the road!

Looks like Dr. Bart is a man with a mission. Oddly enough, I do think that being most of the alpha-Rogues' personal headshrinker would make him very welcome at the Iceberg. In a very odd way, his is one of them. I won't tell him that, of course; it would probably precipitate a nervous breakdown. The 'Berg's "off duty" rule will even mean that he could even have a drink without being pestered for a private session.

However... well, poor Dr. Bart. Harvey and Eddie are acting as Cupid for him and Raven. Could his life get any worse?

I liked that little bit about the Kents' home life. Somehow, it is a common cliché that Lois isn't too good with domestic things, especially cooking. I find that vaguely insulting to professional women in general but strangely in-character for Lois in particular. She strikes me as a woman who is so often in a rush that she never has had the time to learn to cook. I can empathize as I have only just recently had the cause to learn myself.

Heh. I knew that Penny and Muffy would love the rush from being in a room full of Rogues. I just hope that neither of them do anything stupid (anyone remember Nocturna and the Thief of the Night? That is an example of a thrill rush taken to its extreme ).

So... it is about that safe and the mementos of the murder of Bruce's parents - probably the most intimate part of his psyche. Well, given how psychologically vulnerable he was at the time he left the gold bar there, you could argue that Bruce wouldn't have done anything that he didn't fundamentally want to do and certainly not induced Selina to uncover any secrets that he didn't want to uncover. However, I think analysing things like this is a bad move.

He should do as Selina often suggests and go with the hand that the unchangable past has dealt out to him. As he pointed out to himself - she missed him and she was happy to see him again. Run with the love Bruce. Just run with the love.

And Dick and Tim have learnt an important life lesson: Yes, it does hurt to ask.

Finally... You know, I do think that Clark did it. He found (mostly by accidnet) the only way that Selina would take that news without being offended. It is an issue that he needs resolved and she has the means to resolve it. Is she in?

Coming next time... Well, I do think that the three male generations of the Bat Family need to talk while Selina paces and tries to come up with reasons to refuse Clark's offer (and mentally rages at the thought of any cat except her clawing Bruce's armour).

A nice read - Not at the top of your game but easily in the top third.
