Posts: 1779 03/08/06 18:11	Tags : None Today I've unveiled the first chapter of my new Cat-Tales spinoff, Reap What You Sow. cattails.homestead.com/fi...yousow.htm I got the idea for this story after reading Chris' masterful String Theory. I noticed that I wasn't the only person who wondered how Poison Ivy, even one in an alternate universe that was slightly different from Selina's home dimension, found herself as proprietor of a transformed Iceberg Lounge. Besides granting permission to come up with an explanation, Chris has put a lot of time into the development of this story, and I am very grateful for the role she has played in its genesis. Posts: 0 03/09/06 15:39	I enjoyed it - it's a great idea. A little angsty as oppose to funny, but Ivy's speech had little shivers up and down my spine. I can't wait to see how Harley and Ivy hook up. Also, there's that Ballad of Humoring Pam again. I think I actually wrote the words to that a while ago - wonder if I can find them.

Yes. This story will focus almost exclusively on the repercussions of Chapter One, how they affect everyone's lives (not just Pammy and Harley), and how the cast responds. While I don't know yet whether the story will extend all the way to the Selina-Ivy scene in String Theory, Selina and Bruce's relationship and how it GOT to that point will absolutely be discussed. Posts: 647 05/24/06 18:37 Gothamite	Finally got some time to read fanfic today. My, my, my! Allaine, you lured Catty away from Chris, didn’t you? And hired her to swipe Chris’s muse for a while. Because if I didn’t know better, I would swear on a stack of my favorite old X-Men comics that Chris had been the one to write that Wayne Manor segment! The rest of this chapter was equally good. All the little details, like going to a bank to have her name added to the Iceberg accounts, made it even better. And then the scene with Harley… Oh dear, it seems like Ivy just might be starting to learn that her actions have consequences that she can’t always shrug off as Not Her Fault and/or Beneath a Goddess’s Concerns. I can’t wait to read the confrontation between Selina and Pamela, and the inevitable confrontation between Batman and Poison Ivy! Hurry with the next chapter! Kimberly T. Posts: 1779 05/31/06 03:36	Kimberly - well, of course you know that I consider any comparison to Chris' style to be the highest compliment. I will say that, before I go taking 100% of the credit, that I'm playing with Chris' baby here, and for that reason she has been keeping a watchful eye over my work from the beginning. And I have benefited from being able to consult with her whenever necessary. As for Pammy, I think "learn" is the word of the day for her. I think she's always suffered from short-sightedness, and that she might need to change at last. Fett - I sweated and slaved over this chapter because I wanted so badly to adequately describe the sorry state of Harley right now, to make the reader feel what she was going through, and just as importantly to capture Pammy's role. I believe it's one of the most important scenes in the overall story. Thanks all Sincerely, Allaine

This timetable was shattered completely last month, as a variety of special circumstances wiped out a lot of my time for writing. So recently it became very important that I finish this chapter before any more time passed, and I'm happy to say Chapter Five is now available at both the Cat-Tales site and Fanfiction.net. Ahh, so now we get the first known use of that extra capability this particular Ivy has; the ability to entrance women as well as men. And of course, she unknowingly uses it on Selina. Ohhh, dear... Mmm, I'll confess that I would have liked to see some reason for Ivy to suddenly acquire this ability, some external force/substance acting on her unique biochemistry...yeah, okay, I've been brainwashed by the comics' overall mythos, enough to want origin stories even when they're as silly as the old "vat of chemicals" cliche. Question: where/when did this Jenna Leibowitz person managing the Starbucks appear before? In the comics, or in a Cat-Tales fic I've forgotten?
