I can't help but flash back to the last time Selina was giddy over something she'd read in the papers. That was the infamous "I have cat powers", and before the story was half-over, Jean Paul was sitting across from her with tales of a Catwoman impostor. I can't help but wonder what new fiasco you'll encounter this time, Selina. Or maybe I don't have to. You'll find out Eddie moved 1,200 miles away, and it won't take a puzzling genius to figure out why.
Eddie's real problem isn't Superman or Metropolis, of course. It's the fact that of all the gin joints in all the cities in all the world, his best friend had to be in love with the guy underneath the Batman mask. That's pretty much caused his whole life to implode since finding out, and while he made a bit of a recovery after the Gotham masquerade party, it's still causing havoc at, um, "work". Until he can find a resolution to the whole Selina/Bruce/Batman situation, in the long run he's SO SCREWED. (And I think Bruce's own future actions are going to impact that.)
As for Oswald, well, the names Jervis, Jonathan, and Hugo are like drumbeats in my head. Next thing you know, he'll be shaking hands at the front door and snapping his fingers for Raven to give him a "wipe".
Chris, a nice change of pace from the previous visceral, gripping sturm und drang.
Sincerely, Allaine
