Hmmm, you have a point. I had already planned this stuff before IBIHD had ended, and had no idea how Chris would do so (only the assumption that Two Face would
be back by the end) but it can be handwaved easily enough because C&B is set in a nebulous time period sometime after the current (as of my writing it) Cat
Tales have finished.
Which brings up an interesting conundrum. I honestly do not know if C&B should be considered an 'AU' to Cat Tales or part of the main CT canon. That's completely up to Chris of course and it doesn't actually bother me in the slightest which it is, except that if it IS a part of the main canon then I have to pay much closer attention to certain things, and may have to make the time frame a little more concrete ^^ I have been writing it from the default perspective of 'it's an AU' and that's given me liberties to play around a lot. Also, the next chapter is in the works. Wish me luck in getting it out in good time this time!

That old chestnut about "The more things change, the more things stay the same" is just perfect for Vamp Pammy and Vamp Harley. The former is still
firmly planted (no pun intended) on the "men are scum" train, while the latter... well, "Mistah D" says it all, doesn't it?
It's good to see that Nightwing and Robin aren't quite as anti-magic as Batman. Let's face it: they're having enough problems keeping things under control inside the hospital (especially now that Pammy's arrived). The last thing they need to worry about is the rest of the vamps outside. Mind you, Batman seems to have put his magic-phobia on the shelf for now. He can rationalize it as following the protocols of an expert, but consecrating a lair definitely falls outside the "Magic = bad" territory. However he does it, Batman's taking the fight to his enemy's turf. It should be interesting to see how that affects things. Could it be that Team Bat is going to get some help from the Rogues? At the very least, Selina's out spreading the word. And Cassie saved Two-Face from getting bitten by Vamp Harley... which means that Harvey won't get any action after all. And that's all Count Dracula's fault. But since he isn't around... Jonathan'll have to do. Guess that Rogue's gonna experience the downside of being a hench! |

running before my trip back home to Australia for the silly season, things have been rather nuts. but I have been working on it, slowly, and you'll get it

My deepest apologies for the long delay on this chapter. A combination of RL factors, including relocating to a new school and area twice and a long commute to and from work, has made progress on the story extremely slow. But rest assured once things have settled down at my new position I'll be able to continue on it. The good news is that CHAPTER 12 IS FINALLY HERE! |

Woof!
I don't remember exactly what I said, but the gist of the important part was something like this: Absolutely LOVE the Batgirl scene. That's a tricky idea to introduce, but I thought you pulled it off very well. That simple little "She's dangerous," made me laugh. Talk about the understatement of the year! You've got me worried about Timmy now. He's a good kid. Don't hurt him too much. My goodness, but you can feel the tension coming off of everyone. I'm not entirely sure who's worried more--Bruce or Dick. Normally I'd pick Bruce, but Dick sounds like he's already feeling guilty. Add to the fact that now he gets to sit back and do a bunch of nothing, while Bats gets to put his worry to use and...yah. I don't envy Dick AT ALL! Okay...I'm pretty sure that was a lot longer than my original post. *ahem* Welcome to a world without rules! |
