I also got a wonderful fan letter, the kind that just reminds you how many different kinds of people are out there, disenfranchised from the characters and comics they used to love. I don't have kids, of course, my disappointment is just my own. There was something I used to enjoy, now it is gone. But not having something that was important to you that way to share with your kids, that adds a whole new dimension to DC's abdication of their responsibilities. I've often said that they don't have any grasp of what it means to be custodians of a legend, but I myself hadn't taken that aspect into consideration.
Anyway, at some point soon, I have to eek out the time to answer this letter properly. I also got the draft of another CT fanfic someone is working on. Must make time to read that. And of course chapter 5 isn't going to write itself. So while yesterday was a BIG DAY for Cat-Tales, it also solidified just how much there still is to get done. Leaving me, unfortunately, with precious little time to devote to the DK ARG, which is just exploding with new developments.
That said: I would like to draw everyone's attention to the new edition of The Gotham Times, bottom of page 2. It is Adoption Day. WAYNE ANIMAL SANCTUARY, 10-3. If you had no furry friend to spoil on Respect Your Cat Day, get down to 14411 Jackson Street asap.
