Gotta love College Humor's jerk Superman.
Damon Runyon once said, "Ninety-five percent of sports tradition is fiction. Lies, if you like. But harmless. Who the hell cares if the facts get
twisted?"

This in a nutshell, is why I'll never have more than one cat at a time.

This reminds me of my friend's house. I swear, three of her cats jumped on me. Thankfully, not all at once. But only b/c they weren't in the room at
the same time. If I'd been opening a can.....lol
Cats rule.

I somehow doubt Bruce would see the funny, but I laughed my ass off:

My mom, who means well, buys me a Reader's Digest subscription every Christmas. She doesn't read it
any more herself, but she remembers seeing me read it as a kid (because I was desperate to read SOMEthing so I could sleep, and I was out of books again!) and
I occasionally find a couple of funny jokes in it before it becomes workbench-liner for painting projects.
In the August 2009 issue, on approximately page 89, I don't think this was intended to be one of the little article-end jokes: How to: Teach a Cat a Handshake Marco the Rescue Kitty has confirmed to me that rubber-tipped baby spoons are for humans, not someone with good teeth such as himself; additionally, soft catfood and baby food are both inherently disgusting, as I well know from previous offers, and he would not consider learning some damfool trick even the dogs refuse to consider -- not even if someone offered him enchilada meat as the bribe, on a PROPER fork, like a PERSON. (Which he, of course, is.) |

I told you all about Dragon*Con TV, right?
Hunh. Could've sworn I did, but now I can't find it. Every year over the Labor Day weekend holiday (which falls in either late August or very early September, depending on Smurf knows what), I go to Atlanta, Georgia and hang out with at least thirty-five thousand of my closest friends; we do costuming and panels, and there's always something of the "bwhahahahah I have to send this to Oracle for the caption contest!" nature, and then my camera's battery dies or else the picture comes out too grainy. (I basically suck as a photographer.) Meanwhile, whenever we return to our hotel room to rewash ourselves and recover, the convention's Audio-Visual Department is airing something of amusement. Sometimes it's one of the most popular panels, where there's no way all the folks interested will fit. Other times, it's videos they've put together over the years: parody commercials, short silly movies, or bumpers in the style of "Adult Swim". Like this: Dalek Exterminators (link goes to YouTube) I am woefully undereducated on all matters Whovian, but knew just enough to cackle profusely. The same is true of "Displaced", their Lost parody -- I once read a recap of the pilot, and I've read passing comments on the series, and that seems to be enough to clue me in to the basics. Anyway, if you have some time to waste -- and nothing in front of you to eat or drink -- the first link in this post gives a nice long collection of their videos. Today's new episode is "Happy Red Matter Ball", and I immediately thought of Chris! |
