#Door opens with an exhausted band, stagger into the bar, orders a drink#

Those of you wondering where the heck I've been the past week can stop wondering.

Remember I told you all I was afraid I had cancer? Well I didnt, still dont. That's the good news.

Bad news is it was an infection of some sort, I wont go into detail, but suffice to say the antibiotics they put me on, combined with who knows what else, suddenly and viciously shut down my kidneys for about four days.

Having never been diagnosed with any such thing, or having any knowledge of these symptoms, (I have a cronic illness, flareups are fairly common, the early warning bells seemed business as usual.) I was steadily declining into the living dead for several days, till i finally get it through my badly fogged and ill brain that maybe I should see somebody, who tells me to get to an ER fast and would I like them to call an ambulance for me?

An hour later I have holes and sensors plugged into everything, feeding me emergency liquids trying madly to find a blood pressure (They say everyone has one, took them a while to find mine) and get my kidneys working like they're supposed to, before they do something permanant that requires a transplant.

The other good news is that this was on the leading edge of a four day weekend, I kid you not when i say the only way I would have gone in the next morning was on a stretcher, and six more hours could have been the deciding factor.

After a great deal of trouble finding veins with their long needles, and seven holes in my arms later, I'm being fed the first of about a dozen emergency IV's, a good 16 litres of fluids being forced into my gut.

Well, whatever they did it worked well, and I'm better than new, and back home again. My insides work in an orderly fashion again, but I have GOT to get some sleep.
