I heard such wonderful things about Light in the Piazza but I can't say I cared much for what I saw (and I absolutely adore Florence). Melodically it was sort of... nondescript? I can't see anybody ever leaving the theatre loving that song or remembering it playing at the restaurant when they popped the question. And that woman's accent, what was it supposed to be anyway???
*shrug*
Putnam County Spelling Bee and Doubt cleaned up too. I would have rather seen Pillowman do better, largely because the NY Times critic was so traumatized by its not having much of a theme. Just a damn good story, told well, how dare they!
