Holy Rocking Rides, Chris.

I know I've said THAT before, and even once or twice during the course of this story, but just... Whoa.

And again, what totally makes the story is the chareterisations. Both of Selina, and how she managed to combine the get revenge with not crimefighting; Matt finding his own revenge that involved HURT without physical pain, and even his observation about Joker.

I will add the links at the first opportunity (and thank you for pointing to me to where they should go, Kim).

However, I cannot take the blame or the praise for this wonderful feat. Both the art and the ideas, and well over 90% of the writing was all Thundering Monkey.

He should get in here and take a bow and the heat, because I made quite a few inexplicable cackles too.

Very briefly: Matt gets an honorary Oscar for Best Vengeance scene. Selina should get the fourth gold bar. And Bruce should get his head out of his ass, she's been through three Hell Months, you've taken her to the Alley and to the gravesite. Give her the benefit of the doubt for Chrissakes.

....man I wish it were getting close to hell month. Bruce tormented, angsty and acting like an idiot? it really doesn't get better than that, unless Selina is smacking him upside the head for it, and then handholding him through the rest of it.

Ivy so completely deserved every moment of Matt Hagen’s revenge on her. Every last moment of it! And at the end of it, she isn’t dead, she isn’t seriously injured, but she is thoroughly humiliated… and thoroughly, unmistakably warned against further attempts to hurt Clayface in any way. This chapter was amazing. I spent most of the rest of the story wondering how you could possibly top it all off, but you pulled through with the kind of forethought and elegance that we've all come to take for granted. I expected Helena to leave for Star City, but your way makes so much more sense. And I expected the identity Jean-Paul's conversation partner to be important, but the discovery of who it was had me laughing...
